Social Media & Digital Engagement Specialist (Therapist)
This role qualifies as a Center of Excellence (CoE) position, which provides clinicians with a structured pathway to develop expertise in a specific program, niche, or service line while maintaining a reduced caseload. The CoE model is designed to foster both professional growth and organizational innovation by allowing clinicians to dedicate time to program development, leadership, and specialized service expansion. As clinicians progress within the CoE framework, they can further reduce their caseload expectations in alignment with their program’s growth and impact. Our goal is to empower all staff to explore their passion areas, refine their leadership skills, and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of our organization and the field of mental health.
We are seeking a clinician to lead our social media and digital engagement efforts while maintaining an active caseload. This role blends clinical practice with content strategy — using your expertise as a therapist to create authentic, clinically informed content that educates the community, reduces stigma around mental health, and connects people to care. You’ll shape the public voice of our practice across platforms while continuing to provide direct client services.
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician passionate about mental health advocacy and digital communication to build a meaningful service line within a growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an active clinical caseload providing individual and/or group therapy services.
- Develop, schedule, and publish clinically informed content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Create psychoeducational content — posts, graphics, and short-form videos — that reflects evidence-based practice and our organizational values.
- Build and maintain a content calendar aligned with awareness months, program launches, and community events.
- Monitor channels and foster positive, ethically appropriate community engagement.
- Ensure all content complies with HIPAA, licensure board guidelines, and ethical standards for mental health professionals on social media.
- Collaborate with clinicians and leadership to highlight programs, services, and team culture.
- Track analytics and report on growth, engagement, and referral impact.
- Contribute to the development and expansion of the social media program within the Center of Excellence model.
Qualifications
- Fully licensed or associate-level mental health professional (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, HSPP, or equivalent).
- Passion for mental health advocacy, psychoeducation, and destigmatization.
- Experience creating social media content, personally or professionally (healthcare or clinical content a plus).
- Familiarity with content creation tools (Canva, CapCut, or similar) and scheduling platforms, or willingness to learn.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with sensitivity to clinical and ethical considerations.
- Understanding of HIPAA and professional ethics as they apply to social media presence.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid care model.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
