Kristyn has clinical experience in a range of different settings and with varied populations, including a treatment center for youth with autism, an inpatient facility for adults, outpatient community mental health, and an outpatient facility working closely with the juvenile justice system. She integrates techniques and approaches primarily drawing from Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Existential Therapy, Person-Centered, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She often utilizes strength-based and mindfulness approaches.
Kristyn believes a strong therapeutic relationship, coupled with a compassionate and supportive environment, is key to facilitating self-awareness and growth toward a more fulfilling life.
