Alyssa has experience working in community mental health with children and adolescents, as well as in a college counseling center with young adults, and has experience leading group and individual sessions. She utilizes multiple approaches to therapy, but her focus is emotion-focused. Her areas of focus include, but are not limited to, self-esteem, relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life adjustments. She enjoys working with a variety of ages.
Alyssa believes counseling can be helpful to everyone at some point in their life. She aims to provide the best care possible and a non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable enough to open up to her and trust her with whatever they are going through.
