Canine Good Citizen Certification
We’re excited to introduce Sasha, our newest (and furriest) team member! Sasha is certified through the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizenship Assessment and will be working with clients at the Hobart Office.
Thanks for helping her feel welcome as she gets to know her new environment. Sasha is 3 years old and still learning how to meet new people calmly — so don’t be surprised if she greets you with a little extra enthusiasm (think paws on your legs and a few happy kisses!).
Why Animal-Assisted Therapy?
Research shows that therapy animals can play a meaningful role in emotional healing. Animal-Assisted Therapy has been found to:
- Reduce stress, anxiety, and depression
- Lower blood pressure and promote relaxation
- Increase motivation and social engagement
- Foster emotional regulation and a sense of safety during therapy
Sasha will be working alongside Kathryn Owen, who incorporates Animal-Assisted Therapy as part of her compassionate, evidence-based approach to care.

If you’re interested in working with Sasha and Kathryn, you can get started today!
We’re thrilled to welcome Sasha to the Pillars family and can’t wait to see the joy and calm she brings to clients and staff alike.
