James believes that life is a series of decisions, each one impacting those that follow. As a young college student unsure of what path to pursue, James decided to dedicate his career to helping others who face difficulty making decisions throughout their life journey. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, followed by a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling.
Having worked in higher education for over 20 years, James has had the honor of supporting students not only through academic struggles, but also in navigating financial, vocational, relational, and other significant life decisions.
James understands that navigating life can be difficult and stressful. Through a person-centered approach, he compassionately and non-judgmentally listens to individuals, providing empathetic support, appropriate resources, and skill-building to help them more successfully move forward. He is committed to offering personalized care through an eclectic approach, including but not limited to CBT, DBT, and mindfulness modalities.
James specializes in working with ADHD and is certified as an ADHD Rehabilitation Services Provider as well as a Certified Mindfully-Informed Practitioner. He offers supportive care for teens through older adults at various life stages—whether pursuing higher education, transitioning into retirement, seeking workplace support, or navigating life changes.
