Rasheda is passionate about her calling as a therapist and is committed to helping others overcome challenges in their lives. She is dedicated to empowering and equipping clients to create positive change by helping them manage symptoms, develop coping skills, identify “stinking thinking” errors, learn replacement behaviors, and receive life coaching.

Rasheda has over 20 years of experience working in the social service field across a variety of settings, including child welfare, school programs, case management, and community mental health. She holds a Master of Social Work from Indiana University Northwest and is a Licensed Social Worker. Additionally, she earned a Master of Education and an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.) from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Rasheda is trained and educated in providing psychoeducational evaluations for school purposes and currently serves as a licensed School Psychologist.

She works with adolescents, teens, and adults. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, behavior concerns, ADHD, school issues, stress management, adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, spiritual and faith-based concerns, anger management, and more. Rasheda takes a multi-modal approach to therapy, understanding that different techniques from various frameworks can be effective in helping clients reach their goals.

Her treatment modalities include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, interpersonal therapy, strength-based approaches, and motivational interviewing. Her approach involves collaborative goal-setting, case management, homework, and actionable steps.

Rasheda provides the support, insight, and tools clients need to thrive. Her goal is to offer a warm, compassionate, and inviting space where clients can overcome obstacles and barriers. She meets clients where they are, and she’s here to help them “peel the onion” and “unpack the suitcase.”
