Jenna Zubik is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHC-A). She practices an integrative approach that includes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strength-based, and person-centered therapy. Jenna has experience working with adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, eating disorder behaviors, and identity confusion. She has worked in several different settings, including intensive outpatient, outpatient, and incarceration. Jenna has experience facilitating individual counseling, family counseling, and group therapy.
She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Purdue Northwest, located in Hammond, Indiana. During her undergraduate studies, Jenna studied abroad in Cáceres, Spain, and loved the hands-on experience of embracing another culture. Jenna received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Valparaiso University in 2020.
Jenna’s main objective in counseling is to create an environment where the client feels safe and supported to address everyday stressors. She provides psychoeducation along with skill-building techniques, encouraging mindfulness and helping clients take control of their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.
