Grace Gidley is a recent graduate of Valparaiso University, where she received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and became certified as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). Grace has experience working with families and adolescents in both outpatient and residential settings. She also has six years of experience working with adults with severe mental illness in a nonprofit setting.
Grace utilizes an integrative approach that combines Emotion-Focused Therapy with Dialectical Behavior Therapy and strength-based techniques. Through this approach, she helps clients identify what they are experiencing, recognize their individual strengths, and address unhelpful behaviors. She assists clients in developing skills to better understand and process their emotions while providing tools to promote constructive behaviors.
