Erin is a graduate of Indiana University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in English, and a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Mental Health Counseling. Prior to becoming a mental health counselor, Erin led the student success office at Indiana University South Bend. She understands the emotional and learning needs of young adults, and her top goal is to create a safe, warm, judgment-free space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals. In therapy, the client decides where to focus their energy as Erin uses a holistic approach to treatment.
Erin believes that a strong relationship between client and therapist is the most important part of working together to facilitate reflection and positive change. She acknowledges that clients know themselves better than anyone, and her approach is to assist them in tapping into their own knowledge and helping them better care for themselves—mind, body, and spirit. Erin integrates various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Motivational Interviewing, Existential Therapy, Psychoeducation, and Person-Centered Therapy in her practice.
