Elishia holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well as a Master of Social Work from Indiana University. She is a Licensed Social Worker. Elishia has worked for seven years in a community mental health center setting, supporting individuals, children, and families experiencing a range of challenges. These challenges have included abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, neglect, infidelity, substance use, parenting skills, and managing stress. Therapy is as unique as the individual, which is why Elishia uses a variety of interventions and protocols to ensure care that is centered around each person’s needs.
Elishia believes that the relationship dynamic between the client and therapist is the essential element for a successful treatment outcome. Trust, open communication, and transparency play a significant role in long-term change. This relationship is then built around individual needs, with the goal of providing a place of healing.
