Tyler Sullivan is a graduate of Valparaiso University, where he received a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHC-A). Tyler has a clinical background working with a wide variety of mental health issues across an array of age groups and populations, with experience in substance use facilities as well as general outpatient services. He utilizes a variety of approaches to counseling, drawing influences from Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
Tyler believes in creating a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment for clients to explore and process their thoughts and emotions with the intention of connecting to their authentic self. He believes that discovering personal meaning can be a cathartic experience and can provide clients with a sense of purpose to guide them toward the next steps on their mental health journey.
