Sarah is a compassionate social worker with experience across mental health, residential care, behavioral services, and grief support. As a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and a Hispanic individual, they strive to create an inclusive, accessible, and culturally responsive environment for the diverse individuals and families they serve.
Sarah earned their Master of Social Work from Indiana University South Bend, where they also completed their Bachelor of Social Work. They hold an associate degree in human services from Ivy Tech Community College and have recently earned a Behavioral Studies certificate through Ball State University.
Throughout their career, Sarah has worked in various supportive and therapeutic roles. Their experience includes providing direct care in psychiatric and residential treatment settings, implementing behavior plans for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, and offering group and one-on-one grief support for children, teens, and adults.
Through this work, Sarah has gained a deep understanding of how individuals navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. They are committed to meeting clients with compassion, empathy, and respect, using approaches that prioritize empowerment, resilience, and collaborative growth. As a social worker, Sarah is dedicated to helping individuals recognize their strengths, build skills for daily living, and move toward greater stability and overall well-being.
