Elizabeth is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor with a Master’s Degree in clinical mental health counseling from Purdue Northwest. She has experience treating individuals and groups for anger management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, addiction, and adjustment. She has served primarily in correctional and community health settings, utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques and brief interventions to aid in finding solutions to current struggles.
Elizabeth has additional training in trauma-focused techniques, including Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy, to aid in better understanding how current behaviors are influenced by past events. Her approach emphasizes helping individuals develop their own goals for therapy and encourages use of individual strengths and therapeutic intervention to challenge clients in reaching those goals.
Elizabeth believes in creating a comfortable space to build the therapeutic relationship and encourage exploration of beliefs and thoughts to make meaningful change.
