Position Summary
The Intake Training Specialist provides leadership in intake competency development, training oversight, and quality enhancement. This role ensures clinicians and interns conducting intakes are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and documentation standards required for excellence. This is a supplemental internal role open to current Pillars clinicians, offering a 2-client hour reduction in exchange for 4 administrative hours of weekly leadership responsibilities.
Training & Development
- Maintain the intake training tracking system to monitor clinician and intern progression
- Develop and facilitate quarterly intake-focused trainings
- Revise and enhance training materials to reflect evolving best practices
- Collaborate with the Education & Training team to ensure alignment with agency standards
Clinical Mentorship
- Provide structured shadowing and observation opportunities
- Facilitate ongoing communication between interns and intake leadership to support skill development
- Offer targeted coaching based on observed needs and documentation trends
Modeling Best Practice
- Maintain an active intake caseload to demonstrate high-quality assessment and documentation standards
Expectations
- Work one evening shift (4pm–7pm) each week to complete a minimum of 2 intakes
- Maintain a heavier intake caseload to ensure ongoing training opportunities
- Maintain a 90% or better on intake audits
- Current Pillars of Wellness approved provider
- Fully licensed or associate-level mental health professional (LCSW, LSW, LMHC, LMHC-A, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCAC, LCAC-A, LPCC, Clinical Psychology PsyD/PhD, HSPP, or equivalent)
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
- CAQH profile on file
- Individual professional malpractice liability insurance policy ($1M/$3M)
- Strong ability to design and deliver engaging training sessions
- Commitment to clinician development and documentation excellence
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
