About the Program

Program introduction video: Supporting students’ emotional, behavioral, and academic well-being in school settings.

The School-Based Mental Health Program at Pillars of Wellness provides convenient, accessible mental health services for students during the school day. By embedding therapeutic support directly within the school environment, we help students address emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges without disrupting family schedules or extracurricular activities.

Our clinicians work collaboratively with school counselors, social workers, and administrators to deliver evidence-based care tailored to each student’s unique needs. Services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and designed to support students’ overall well-being and success both in and out of the classroom.

Research demonstrates the significant impact of school-based mental health services:

Improved School Climate & Engagement
Addressing mental health in schools is tied to improvements in school climate and student engagement, both factors that support positive learning and social outcomes. (Learning Policy Institute, 2025)
Reduced Symptoms & Better Functioning
School-based mental health programs can lead to decreased depressive and anxiety symptoms and improved social–emotional functioning compared to no intervention. (Swanson, L., Overfield, R., Rangel-Pacheco, A., & Witte, A., November 2023)
