Pillars of Wellness is seeking a motivated and compassionate Associate Director to help develop and manage the Pillars of Wellness Valparaiso team. This individual will maintain a client caseload while offering support to the team, providing supervision as able or needed, and aiding in the growth of our clinicians.

The ideal candidate is passionate about fostering a positive work environment, has excellent communication skills, is highly organized, and is eager to support the growth of others. This role blends direct clinical care with leadership, offering an opportunity to shape the culture and continued growth of our Valparaiso office.

Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based counseling and psychotherapy to clients.
  • Assist with initiatives to recognize staff achievements and contributions.
  • Participate in the interview process for new clinicians who fit the Pillars of Wellness mission and values.
  • Assist in onboarding and training for new employees and interns, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Respond to staff requests and concerns, determining appropriate action steps and ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Ensure operations throughout the office are running smoothly.
  • Report to the Clinical Director and offer support based on team needs.
  • Assist with conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Assist with planning regular team building activities.
  • Conduct regular formal and informal check-ins with clinicians and clinical supervisors.
  • Engage in local community events.
  • Attend staff meetings and team conferences, and lead team meetings as required.
Qualifications
  • Fully licensed or associate-level mental health professional (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, HSPP, or equivalent).
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, mentoring, or program development experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with agency leadership and community partners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and inspire others.
  • Skilled in active listening, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Solution-oriented and approachable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance clinical and leadership responsibilities.
  • Passionate about promoting a supportive and positive work environment.
  • Ability to assess, prioritize, and balance business needs with staff requests, ensuring operational efficiency while supporting employee satisfaction.
