As our Centers of Excellence (CoE) model continues to expand, we are seeking a strategic and clinically grounded leader to oversee program development, staff support, and cross-departmental collaboration within our Growth and Development Team.

This role is designed for a highly organized and clinically experienced leader who is passionate about program development, staff mentorship, and system-level growth. The Associate Director of Growth & Development will help oversee the Centers of Excellence (CoE) model while also helping manage key branches within the Growth and Development Team, including Continuing Education and Outreach & Development.
This position blends clinical consultation, program oversight, leadership development, and operational strategy. The ideal candidate is both relational and systems-minded—able to support individual clinicians while also tracking big-picture growth, quality, and sustainability across programs.
Position Summary
The Associate Director of Growth & Development will help lead the development, support, and expansion of Centers of Excellence (CoE) programs. This role ensures clinical quality, provides ongoing consultation to CoE Leads and Specialists, and collaborates across teams to maintain alignment as programs grow.
Additionally, this position oversees key Growth and Development branches, supports internal initiatives such as The Pillar Report, and contributes to the overall strategic direction of the organization.
CoE Leadership & Support
- Educate and support all CoE Leads and Specialists.
- Guide CoE Leads through program development, including growth pathways, team building, content creation, and job development.
- Provide onboarding support to Specialists, including access to resources and systems.
- Maintain ongoing communication regarding CoE updates, policies, and expectations.
- Ensure training modules and program materials remain accurate and up to date.
Clinical Consultation & Program Development
- Respond to daily clinical and program development questions from CoE staff.
- Provide guidance on group development, service logistics, and program structure.
- Offer consultation to clinicians considering launching a CoE or experiencing burnout and exploring alternative roles.
- Review and approve final program proposals.
- Collaborate with directors and supervisors when new roles or program structures are proposed.
- Communicate approvals and updates to HR regarding roles, program changes, and staffing needs.
Collaboration & Cross-Team Alignment
- Collaborate with intake, admin, education and training, and other Growth and Development Team branches as programs expand.
- Ensure all relevant teams are informed of program updates and changes.
- Consult with appropriate departments when CoE decisions impact other areas of the organization.
Clinical Quality & Compliance
- Ensure CoE teams maintain high clinical standards and best practices.
- Monitor the implementation of group supervision, appropriate trainings, and clinical assessments.
- Provide guidance to ensure ethical, effective, and evidence-based care across programs.
Program Oversight & Reporting
- Track and monitor CoE program growth, performance, and outcomes.
- Develop and present monthly reports to The Board.
- Monitor team statistics, including growth, engagement, and service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for program expansion, restructuring, or additional support.
- Support leadership development by tracking Lead and Specialist progress and identifying promotion opportunities.
Growth & Development Team Leadership
- Manage and support key branches within the Growth and Development Team, including:
- Continuing Education
- Outreach & Development
- Clinical Care of CoE
- Provide oversight on team progress, projects, and deliverables.
- Answer clinical and program-related questions across these branches.
- Develop job postings, participate in interviews, and support hiring as needed.
Content Development & Organizational Initiatives
- Contribute to the clinical components of The Pillar Report (e.g., “Ask a Therapist,” Pillars Praises).
- Participate in marketing and networking calls that include clinical consultation or program exploration.
- Edit and support the development of promotional and educational video content.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the CoE model and overall program structure.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Independent or Associate License (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LPC, LSW, or equivalent).
- Strong clinical background with experience in program development or leadership roles.
- Experience providing consultation, supervision, or team leadership preferred.
- Strong organizational, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives, teams, and priorities simultaneously.
- Passion for innovation, program development, and clinician support.
