Governor State University

Degree:

Master of Arts in Counseling (Clinical Mental Health)

Erin works with preteens, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, OCD-related concerns, and life stressors. She believes therapy is most effective when clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to make meaning of their experiences. Her work is grounded in a narrative therapy perspective, helping clients separate themselves from the problems they face and reconnect with their strengths and values.

Erin integrates evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to support insight, skill development, and meaningful change. She is knowledgeable in working with obsessive-compulsive patterns and anxiety-driven behaviors.

Erin has a particular passion for working with preteens and teens, supporting them during key developmental stages while building emotional awareness and coping skills. Her approach is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, collaborative, and strengths-based.
