Ellen combines her experiences as an educator, caseworker, and social worker to provide clients with a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to life’s challenges—no sugarcoating, just real talk and real tools. Ellen graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor’s degree in English and minors in Education and Gender Studies. She then worked as a high school English teacher before earning her Master’s degree in Social Work.

Ellen works primarily with teens and adults who are ready to create meaningful change in their lives. Many of the individuals she supports are seeking to break free from family or social patterns that have kept them feeling stuck. Some have experienced trauma, neglect, abuse, or the impact of parental addiction during childhood, which can manifest in adulthood as depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, codependency, or addiction.

She takes a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs. Ellen views therapeutic methods as tools and works collaboratively with clients to select those that best support their goals. She often draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and shame-resilience work to help clients process trauma, navigate difficult emotions, and build confidence as they grow and heal.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but Ellen creates a space that balances support and accountability, helping clients feel empowered as they take the first steps toward healing, growth, and becoming their authentic selves.
