Position Summary: The Internship Specialist supports the daily operations of Pillars of Wellness’ internship program by assisting with intern onboarding, communication, scheduling, and tracking. Reporting directly to the Internship Coordinator, this role ensures that administrative processes run smoothly, systems are up to date, and interns receive timely and accurate support throughout their training experience.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a personal caseload, providing evidence-based therapy services.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
  • Complete progress notes and other required documentation in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Assist internship program coordinator with ensuring internship program tasks are running smoothly. 
  • Collaborate with the Internship Program Coordinator and clinical supervisors to ensure intern needs are met.
  • Responding to emails from interns interested in interning with Pillars. 
  • Assisting with tracking Overcoming Obstacles to Therapy calls and sending reminder messages. 
  • Co-facilitating intern group supervisions.
  • Regular meetings with the internship team.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Associate or Full License (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LPC, LSW, or equivalent).
  • Passion for contributing to the professional development of future clinicians.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently
