What Is a Psychological Assessment?
A psychological assessment is a structured process conducted by a licensed psychologist to evaluate how a person thinks, feels, learns, and behaves. This process uses scientifically validated tools—including interviews, standardized tests, and behavioral observations—to explore aspects such as:
- Emotional functioning and mental health
- Cognitive strengths and challenges
- Personality traits and behavior patterns
- Readiness for surgery, employment, or treatment
Assessments are always tailored to the referral question and are grounded in evidence-based practices. Our psychologists are specially trained to interpret results and provide clear, actionable insights for individuals or organizations.
Why Is Psychological Testing Done?
Psychological assessments help answer questions such as:
- What is contributing to difficulties at work, school, or in relationships?
- Is a mental health diagnosis appropriate?
- Is the individual emotionally and cognitively prepared for surgery or a high-stress job?
- What strengths and areas of growth can guide treatment planning?
For businesses, psychological testing supports workforce readiness, enhances safety, and can be a valuable part of hiring or return-to-work processes.
You’ll receive a thorough report that identifies both strengths and challenges, with recommendations you can act on. Whether you’re an individual seeking answers or a company making high-stakes decisions, we provide expert insights you can trust.
