Courtney Tomaszewski is a graduate of the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she received her Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Courtney also has training in Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Courtney has worked with men, women, and adolescents in a variety of areas, including while incarcerated, in crisis, outpatient settings, middle and high school therapy, and addictions and anger management groups through the jail system and outpatient.
Courtney believes that building therapeutic rapport and trust is essential in therapy and understands that addressing mental health concerns can be overwhelming. Courtney’s goal is to provide a safe, comforting environment where clients have the ability to explore their thoughts and feelings free of judgment.
Courtney has experience working with anxiety, depression, anger, addictions, self-harm/suicide, trauma, and mood disorders using methods of TF-CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy.
