As a nationally approved NBCC Continuing Education (CE) Provider, Pillars of Wellness is expanding its Education and Training Department to strengthen internal learning systems and grow high-quality CEU offerings for clinicians.

 

Description

This role is housed within the Education and Training Department and is designed for a clinician with a strong interest in continuing education development, quality assurance, and educational content review. This Education & Training Specialist will support the maintenance and expansion of NBCC-approved CEU offerings while assisting with ongoing training content updates across the agency.

This position will collaborate closely with clinicians, subject matter experts (SMEs), and the Education and Training team to ensure educational materials are clinically sound, compliant with accreditation standards, and aligned with best practices in mental health care.

 

Position Summary

The Education & Training Specialist will focus on supporting staff-led CEU creation, reviewing educational content for quality and compliance, and assisting with the upkeep of training materials. This role plays a key part in sustaining the agency’s CEU provider status while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

CEU Development & Support

  • Support the development, review, and maintenance of NBCC-approved CEU offerings.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to clinicians and staff interested in creating CEU presentations, trainings, or workshops.
  • Assist with CEU documentation, learning objectives, evaluations, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to expand and strengthen the agency’s CEU catalog.

Quality Assurance & Content Review

  • Review CEU materials, trainings, and educational blog content for clinical accuracy, relevance, and alignment with evidence-based practices.
  • Ensure educational content remains current with changes in ethics, licensure standards, and clinical guidelines.
  • Assist with routine audits and updates of CEU and training materials to maintain accreditation and quality standards.

Training Content Support

  • Assist with updating and maintaining existing training content to reflect current agency policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve clarity, engagement, and learning outcomes of trainings.
  • Support the Education and Training team with ongoing departmental initiatives and projects.

Collaboration & Program Growth

  • Work collaboratively with the Education and Training team to support CEU program expansion and partnerships.
  • Serve as a resource to staff regarding continuing education requirements and internal learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to the agency’s broader culture of learning and professional growth.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Associate or Independent License (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LPC, LSW, or equivalent).
  • Experience with CEU development, training coordination, educational content review, or quality assurance preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and collaborative workflows independently.
